Bring It to Life: App Pairing Guide

You've successfully wired up your new Jasmine Smart Switch. Now, let's sync it to your smartphone so you can control your space from anywhere in the world!

Checklist

  • Switch is powered ON
  • Jasmine App installed

Crucial Wi-Fi Requirement

Connect to 2.4GHz: Before starting, ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The initial device setup does not support 5GHz networks. You can switch back to 5GHz after the setup is complete!

Step-by-Step Configuration

Follow these simple phases to link your device to your home network securely.

Network Discovery

  • Open the Jasmine Smart App and navigate to Settings.
  • Tap the "+" icon (Add New Device).
  • Enter your home Wi-Fi SSID (Name) and Password.
  • Tap Scan Devices and ensure you click ALLOW if prompted for Location Permissions.

Device Identification

  • Briefly minimize the app and open your phone's Wi-Fi Settings.
  • Look for a new network starting with JasmineSmartHomes_ followed by a 7-digit number (e.g., 8798946). Note this number down!
  • Return to the Jasmine App and type those 7 digits into the Device ID field.
  • Tap Step 1: GENERATE OTP. (The app will automatically copy a password to your clipboard).

Direct Connection

  • In the app, tap Step 2: CONNECT TO DEVICE.
  • Go back to your phone's Wi-Fi Settings.
  • Tap the JasmineSmartHomes_XXXXXXX network.
  • When asked for a password, simply Paste the OTP that was copied to your clipboard in the previous step, and connect.

Don't worry about memorizing the password, the app handles the complex OTP behind the scenes!

Final Routing

  • Return to the Jasmine App. You should see "Step 3: DEVICE SETUP" automatically marked as DONE.
  • Tap Step 4: CONNECT TO WIFI.
  • Navigate to your phone's Wi-Fi Settings one last time and reconnect to your standard home Wi-Fi network.

Device Registration

  • Return to the App. Tap the highlighted Step 5: REGISTER THE DEVICE or hit NEXT.
  • Time to customize! Enter the Appliance Name (e.g., Living Room Fan).
  • Select the Appliance Type and assign it to a Room.
  • Assign the corresponding hardware Pin No.
  • Tap SAVE.

Congratulations! Your Jasmine Smart appliance is now paired and ready to be controlled.
